Product Warranty
The Home Shutter Company Ltd work with sustainably sourced solid hardwood for our window shutters alongside UPVC for our waterproof bathroom shutters. We offer a 10 year warranty on all of our products and workmanship.
Core Structure: 10 years
Colour: 5 years (does not cover against smoke staining or exposure to moisture / rising damp)
Stainless Steel Hardware: 10 years
Standard Hardware: 10 years
The Home Shutter Company Ltd warrant that our product will be defect free in materials or workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the shutters provided and that such products were installed by The Home Shutter Company Ltd. Please note that our shutters are made from solid, FSC grade natural wood therefore any defects that cannot be seen from 4 feet away in normal light will not be covered by our warranty.
Our product must be made or assembled exclusively from original materials and components. Any resale or other transfer of the product and/or materials voids this warranty.
This warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other obligations, liabilities or warranties. In no event shall The Home Shutter Company be liable for incidental or consequential damages, or for any expense associated with such damages. Repairs or remakes of defective products is the sole remedy under this warranty and in no event shall The Home Shutter Company be liable for costs to remove and/or reinstall the product and Repairs will be made only with like or similar parts.
This warranty does not cover any condition of/or damage to the shutters or window from unauthorized repairs, accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, act of God, motorized devices, wear and tear or failure to follow our instructions with respect to cleaning or maintenance.
For our solid hardwood shutters, this warranty covers all paintwork from sun fading and but does not cover damage caused by smoke, moisture ingretion or rising damp.
Improper, inappropriate or unauthorized replacement parts, repairs or maintenance voids this warranty. This warranty excludes all liability for removal of the shutter and reinstallation in the same or another window, or damage to the window frame, glass or any other portion of the window once our shutters have been installed.
Due to manufacturing, natural variations in colour, grain and texture in these products, The Home Shutter Company are not able to guarantee exact matches to samples, nor are they able to guarantee exact matches on subsequent orders. Returns cannot be authorized due to these normal variations.
All other warranties, both express and implied, are expressly disclaimed.The Home Shutter Company reserves the right to charge a call out fee. This warranty excludes all liability for consequential or incidental damages for any cause whatsoever.
Colour
Wood stains: The Home Shutter Company cannot guarantee a perfect colour match, as part of the character of a natural wood product is that it may vary in tone and grain.
Paint Finishes: A custom colour may not end up being an exact duplicate. This is due to a number of variables such as:
The species of timber the paint is being applied to
The number of coats applied.
The degree of sanding and surface preparation.
The temperature and humidity at application and drying.
Other warranties
UPVC Shutters: 10 Years including colour defects due to sun.
Blinds: 3 Years
Shutter integrated blinds: 1 Year

Upon first evaluation via evidence submission, it may be required that one of our team attend your property to fully evaluate the claim.
Any items requiring replacement or additional components required will be replaced with like for like parts and also covered under our 10 year warranty from replacement date.
